BOOKING CONDITIONS AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to isolated instances of very poor conduct by guests, we have been forced to ensure that all guests are now made fully aware of our Booking Conditions upon their arrival, as well as being previously informed of these provisions through our Brochure Package and Web Site.
ARRIVAL is anytime after 3pm. DEPARTURE is strictly by 10am.
Tentative Bookings will be held for ONE WEEK (7 days), after which a 50% DEPOSIT is required to confirm the reservation.
A deposit or payment in full may be required at the time a booking is made for short notice bookings.
Payment in Full is required 7 DAYS in advance for all bookings, unless alternative arrangements have been made with management.
If for any reason the payment is not received by the due date we reserve the right to cancel your booking & apply appropriate cancellation charges.
A Minimum Booking of ONE WEEK (7 days) applies to CHRISTMAS/JANUARY School Holidays.
A credit card number is required for damage/security purposes. Otway Getaways is authorized to deduct monies to cover the cost of additional/excess cleaning, damages, repairs, replacement of goods, late departures or any other breaches of these terms and conditions.
This includes leaving unwashed dishes & smoking inside.
Additional Fees will be charged to guests’ Credit Card facilities upon their departure and a Tax Invoice/Receipt will then be posted out or emailed.
Accommodation must be left in a clean and tidy manner removing all rubbish, bottles, food and personal items into the rubbish bins outside the house. Food items such as bread, fruit, bones etc are not to be thrown out on the lawns/grounds surrounding the house for animals/birds.
SALTWATER HAVEN IS STRICTLY NON-SMOKING A fee of up to $250 applies to smoking inside. This charge covers the costs associated with removing cigarette smoke from soft furnishings, carpets, bedding etc.
If a Credit Card is not available for payment then a Bond may be required as security. This can be paid by Money Order or Bank Transfer prior to arrival. The bond will then be refunded once the property has been checked upon departure.
We reserve the right to substitute accommodation if necessary.
Saltwater Haven (managed by Otway Getaways) will accept no responsibility for any inconvenience with machinery breakdown.
Saltwater Havens best endeavors to repair or replace will be undertaken however due to the location of Apollo Bay repairs
cannot be guaranteed on the same day.
DOG OWNERS PLEASE NOTE
Dog owners are fully responsible for the picking up droppings on the property & damage caused by their dog/s.
A $25 charge applies for dog droppings not being picked up prior to departure.
Dogs are not permitted on any furniture unless fully covered.
Dogs are not to be left unattended inside at any time unless authorised by management.
Additional charges apply for dog hair/muddy dog footprints/marks on beds & furniture, dog urine stains, damage and droppings
A $50 Cancellation/Administration Fee applies to ALL cancelled bookings.
STANDARD INDUSTRY CANCELLATION FEES APPLY TO ALL BOOKINGS
21-60 DAYS PRIOR TO BOOKING DATE - 50% OF DEPOSIT.
UP TO 21 DAYS PRIOR TO BOOKING DATE - 100% OF DEPOSIT.
WITHIN 7 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL AND THEREAFTER -100% OF TOTAL PRICE.
A CANCELLATION FEE OF 100% of TOTAL PRICE APPLIES 30 DAYS PRIOR TO CHRISTMAS/JANUARY & EASTER/APRIL SCHOOL HOLIDAYS AND TO PUBLIC HOLIDAY WEEKENDS.
These Fees will not apply if the entire period is re-booked, however the $50 Cancellation Fee still applies.
Please note that Travel Insurance is recommended for all bookings. Particularly for Weekly bookings.
